Three constitution and bylaws amendments have been submitted in a manner consistent with requirements of Article XVIII, Section 1 of the constitution and bylaws for the annual business meeting August 6, just before the convention. Eligible voting members will be able to vote on the proposed bylaws amendments. Please note that any agenda items other than Bylaws Amendments or Elections will be voted on by only those present at the Business Meeting.
The current slate of nominees for offices and directorships also is online.
All eligible voting members for whom NCRA has an active e-mail address will receive an e-mail within two hours of the close of the member business meeting with voting instructions. The e-mail will contain a link to the secure voting Web site. More detailed information regarding online voting, including step-by-step instructions, will be available online prior to the meeting. Print versions of the voting instructions will also be available at the voting kiosks outside the Annual Business Meeting.
Online voting will be open for 12 hours. Members attending the business meeting in person will also be casting their votes electronically on the proposed bylaws amendments and the contested elections. If you are attending the business meeting in person, you will need to be able to access your e-mail account remotely in order to vote on those matters. Members attending the convention will be able to vote via their own computers in their hotel rooms or on voting computers at the hotel. The voting computers will be in the ballroom foyer for the length of the 12-hour voting window and in the Exhibition for as long as the Exhibition is open.
On the day of the meeting we will have information on the NCRA home page about the member business meeting, including how to access the live Webcast of the meeting, how to access the archived version after the meeting has ended, and how to access the transcript of the meeting.
If you think you will not be able to attend the business meeting and want to be able to vote on bylaws amendments and contested elections, be sure that we have an active e-mail address for you in our database by July 28. This will enable you to register and vote online. E-mail our Member Services and Information Center with your current e-mail. If you are receiving this NewsFlash or other NCRA e-mail communications, you do not need to do anything. Voting information will be sent to this address.
