I'm in the same "minority," if indeed it is a minority. The MtR is a dangerous precedent that could start a landslide down a slippery slope that hamstrings the Board of Directors in even educating themselves on anything that the membership considers a threat, or even just because "I just don't like it." IF - and that's a big "if" - the association's research yields results that actually lead to concrete proposals along the lines that so many are assuming will be the ultimate outcome, THEN would be the time to take action.
But any action that completely forbids the board and the association from exploring, educating, learning, is dangerous. Who knows, the result from the research could just as possibly be the opposite of what everybody is assuming: that all or portions of the concept are not feasible or not a good idea. Why does everybody assume A automatically equals Z as a done deal?
