NCRA Board of Directors
Voting members of NCRA are invited to submit nominations for officers and directors to be voted on during the 2010 Convention next August. Positions to be chosen are President-Elect; Vice President; Secretary-Treasurer; and three directors with terms of three years each.

SueLynn Morgan, RPR President Lawton, OK
SueLynn Morgan is an official reporter in Comanche County District Court where she reports large civil, felony and domestic dockets. She has chaired the Ninth and Tenth Court Technology Conference Task Forces, the 2003 and 2004 Convention Committees, the Backup Audio Media Task Force, and has served as a member of various committees. SueLynn, a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, has also championed many legislative efforts in Oklahoma for the betterment of the profession. |

Melanie Humphrey-Sonntag, FAPR, RDR, CRR President-Elect St. Charles, IL
Melanie L. Humphrey-Sonntag is a realtime reporter and president of Sonntag Reporting Service, Ltd., in suburban Chicago, Illinois, having previously worked as an official, freelancer, and firm owner in Wyoming and Colorado. She competes annually in speed and realtime contests on the state and national level. She has served three years as an NCRA Director prior to being elected Vice President. She has worked in various board and committee capacities for over 25 years, given seminars to students, reporters, and teachers since 1993, and was inducted as a Fellow in 2001. |

R. Douglas Friend, RMR, CRR Vice President Portland, OR
Doug Friend became of member of NCRA in 1975. He is certified in Oregon, Washington and Nevada. Doug is a shareholder in Beovich Walter & Friend, Inc., in Portland, Ore., where he holds the official titles of Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer. He served on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Court Reporters Association, including acting as president. Doug has served as NCRA’s Secretary-Treasurer, and has served on many NCRA and Foundation committees and task forces. |

Jason Meadors is president of Meadors Court Reporting, LLC, in Fort Collins,Colo., and president of ReporterWorks,which publishes a management software system for reporters. A member of NCRA and the Colorado Court Reporters Association since 1981, Jason has worked as a courts-martial reporter in the Marines and an official and freelance court reporter, before opening his own firm. Jason is a past president of the Colorado association. Jason has presented seminars at many reporting conventions and has written for Colorado’s Ramblings and the JCR.

Karen Yates, CRR, CCP, CBC Immediate Past President Minden, NV
Karen Yates specializes in CART and other streaming text services. She has worked as a freelance reporter in New Jersey, Colorado, Nevada, and California covering depositions, public hearings, and courtroom proceedings. She has served on numerous NCRA committees and task forces. She is a past president of the Nevada Court Reporters Association and remains active with that organization. Karen presents seminars on realtime writing and CART, and is committed to helping court reporters and captioners achieve their highest level of proficiency and professionalism. |

Kimi George has been a freelance court reporter in Oklahoma City since 1981 and currently owns her own firm, Premier Reporting, Inc. She specializes in medical and technical depositions and offers realtime to her clients. Kimi is a member of the Oklahoma Court Reporters Association, where she serves as Chair of the Student/New Reporter Liaison Committee. She has also served on the NCRA Membership Telemarketing Committee for 12 years; NCRF Angels Committee for three years and has participated in the Foundation Phone-a-thon for three years. |

Shirley A. Hall, RDR, CRR, CBC, CRI, CPE Pittsburgh, PA
Shirley Hall is a Federal Official Court Reporter for the United States District Court in the Western District of Pennsylvania. She began freelancing in 1975 and went on to become an official in 1986. In 1997 Shirley received her bachelor’s degree in public management and psychology and in 2003 received a JD. In addition to her official duties, she presently teaches court reporting, psychology, and legal courses and engages in the private practice of general law.

Judy Lehman, RMR, CRI Shelbyville, IL
Judy Lehman has been an official reporter in the Illinois Fifth Judicial Circuit since 1977 and serves as acting director and court reporting instructor for Sparks College. She has a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University and an Associates in Applied Science-Information Technology (Network Administration) from Lakeland College where she worked as a microcomputer support specialist. She is an Illinois CSR, a Registered Merit Reporter, a Certified Reporting Instructor, and past president of ILCRA. |

Adam D. Miller, RPR, CRI, CSR (DE) Middletown, DE
Adam Miller is a freelance court reporter and the managing member of DepositionsDelaware LLC. Adam has been a court reporter since 1996 and is past president of the Delaware Court Reporters Association. Prior to joining the NCRA Board, Adam served on the Backup Audio Media Task Force and the National Committee of State Associations (NCSA) Governing Board and served two years as the Board liaison to the National Committee of State Associations (NCSA). |

Director Sarah Nageotte, RMR, CRR, CBC Jefferson, Ohio
Sarah E. Nageotte, currently works as an official court reporter for Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court in Jefferson, Ohio, a position she has had since 2003. Prior to that, she was an official reporter in Meadville, Pa. Sarah is a member of the Ohio Court Reporters Association. In 2008, she received OCRA’s distinguished service award, and recently finished her term as director with OCRA. She has made presentations to the county bar association and the Ohio Judicial Conference, as well as during NCRA and OCRA conventions. |

Director Mark Renzi, RPR, CCR-NJ Trenton, New Jersey
Mark H. Renzi is the president and owner of Guy J. Renzi & Associates Court Reporting and Legal Technology located in Trenton, N.J., where he has also worked as a freelance reporter since 1996. Mark currently is a member of NCRA’s Firm Owner’s Community of Interest. He is currently director and nominee for vice-president of the Society for the Technological Advancement of Reporting, where he is the co-chair for their recruitment committee. He is a member of Certified Court Reporters Association of New Jersey.

Tammie Shedd, FAPR, RPR, CMRS Fairfax, VA
Tammie Shedd worked as both an official and freelance reporter before moving to the captioning industry in 1983. She is the president of Visual Audio Captioning in Fairfax, Virginia. She has written training manuals for realtime captioners and sports captioners and has trained captioners worldwide. In addition to providing training seminars and materials, Tammie has also served on various committees for NCRA. |

Director Tami Smith, RPR, CPE Lansing, Michigan
Tami Smith has been a court reporter since 1988 and an official reporter for the 37th Circuit Court in Battle Creek, MI since 1990. She has served on numerous MAPCR committees, their Board of Directors, and was the President of MAPCR for the 1999/2000 term. In 2002 she received the Alton Cobb Award for her work in testing. In 2007 she was the recipient of MAPCR's Distinguished Service Award. She has been a member of NCRA since 1986 and has served on various NCRA committees and task forces including the DMV Task Force. She has also presented numerous seminars for state associations and written articles that have been published in the JCR and in state newsletters. |

Director Nancy Varallo, RDR, CRR Worcester, Massachusetts
Nancy Varallo is owner of Court Reporting Management Services, LLC, which offers business and office management services to reporters and reporting firms, and All New England Reporting Service, LLC, a non-traditional agency which only handles referralwork from other court reporting agencies. Both businesses were opened in 2001. Prior to that, Nancy worked as a freelancer, developed a court reporting program and taught steno classes, and worked as a CART provider. Nancy was inducted as a Fellow into the Academy of Professional Reporters in 2001. Nancy has been involved with the Massachusetts Court Reporters Association since 1979. |

Mark J. Golden, CAE Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer National Court Reporters Association Vienna, VA
Mark J. Golden has thirty-years experience managing and leading professional and trade associations. Before joining the NCRA staff in December 1998, Mr. Golden spent eight years with the Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA), Washington, D.C., and 12 years with the Association of Telemessaging Services International, Alexandria, Virginia. Long active in the association community, Mr. Golden is a Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Association Leadership and has served in numerous capacities with the American Society of Association Executives. He is a frequent speaker at conferences on strategic planning, governance and leadership development. |
