Charitable Donations

2010 is the Fifth Anniversary of the Angels Fundraising Campaign.

This year, the Foundation is not only celebrating the fifth year of the Angels campaign but also the life of a very special friend.  2010 marks the fifth year of NCRF's Angels Fundraising Drive and we are commemorating this achievement by conducting our activities in the name of the late Deanna Johnson, RPR, CRI, CPE, FAPR, fellow Angel donor and fundraiser extraordinaire.  NCRF Angels are individuals or firms who commit to donate at least $1,000 to NCRF in a 12-month timeframe. Over 100 people and firms have become Angel donors since the inception of this program.  And of these, 38 are on target to become 5-year donors in 2010.  Click here to see the 2010 Angel donors and find out how you can become an Angel too!

NCRF's focus for 2010 will continue to be on projects important to the court reporting community. Students were particularly important to Deanna and the Foundation will continue to fund the Student Initiatives Program which pays for scholarships and NCRA student memberships for those students who complete two transcriptions for the Oral Histories Program. We continue to build the Legal Education Program through key partnerships with various law schools, and a new CART Services Program which supports consumer organizations such as the Association of Late-Deafened Adults and The Hearing Loss Association of America with grants for CART providers.  Click here for information on what NCRF does with your donations.  It's very exciting, and every dollar we raise is critical to our success.

As a charitable organization, the Foundation relies on tax-deductible donations. They are our lifeblood, and we cannot exist without them. The majority of NCRF's support comes from NCRA members and associated businesses. That's why NCRF offers different giving options, from dues check-offs to our phone-a-thon(s) to our annual Angels Drive. You can also support NCRF through your estate planning by becoming a member of NCRF's Legacy Society. To donate, or for information on NCRF’s programs, please contact B. J. Shorak, NCRF's Deputy Executive Director, at 800/272-6272, ext. 126, or by e-mail at bjshorak@ncrahq.org.
