Think you can post depositions online? Think again. On Tuesday, December 9, 2008, Law.com posted an article stating that a Texas judge ordered that an excerpt of a videotaped deposition posted by an attorney on his Web site be taken down on the grounds that it wasn’t public record.
For anyone thinking that it is safe to post legal proceedings into online mediums like YouTube, Myspace, or Facebook, this article is a must read.
