Washington state reporter Jennifer Lewis, RPR, responded to the October JCR cover story, "Confronting Digital Recording." She wrote, in part:

How is it "confronting" digital recording when it sounds as if NCRA is welcoming electronic reporting operators? Or is an electronic "reporting" operator different than a "recording" operator? Or is "electronic" not as threatening as "digital"? Either way it’s confusing. …

One of my biggest clients is going to FTR Gold for two of their hearing rooms, which demotes me to their transcriptionist. Could I fight this? I suppose, but obviously neither NCRA nor any other agency can fight this (or chooses not to fight this), so why should I?
