    Toolbars on the taskbar

This is elaborating on what I discussed on my "Windows: Back to Basics" teletraining seminar this evening, but I thought I would post it here for everyone's benefit.

This evening, I spoke about the "address" toolbar.  The address toolbar allows you access Web sites easily without opening a Web browser.

Please click here to view more information about other toolbars: http://windows.about.com/od/customizethetaskbar/ss/add_toolbars_3.htm

And if you are wondering how to view the address toolbar or other toolbars which are available, please click here to learn how to enable various toolbars:  http://windows.about.com/od/customizethetaskbar/ss/add_toolbars_2.htm

     Amy,

It may be offered some time next year, but it is not offered on the Internet at this time.

Don't forget there is another teleseminar this week.  I will be discussing more "advanced" topics (and recovering a few from last week as a nice segue).  Included in this week's agenda are the following topics:

    • How to remove programs from starting with Windows so your computer’s performance is improved
    • How to assign custom keyboard shortcuts
    • How to work with folders and files
    • How to use and add locations to the “Send To” menu
    • How to “lock” your computer so no one can have access to it while you are on a break
    • How to use Audacity to create audio “snippets”

Plus I will have quite a long discussion about computer maintenance....about AV programs, firewalls, and other things you can do to keep your computer running in tip-top shape.

Hope to "see" you there on Thursday!

for some reason thursdays this month have been a hard time to do a phone seminar.  i've done them before, though, and really like them. i've picked up some great tips from you on forums, though, carbonite being one of them.  it has really give me peace of mind. of course,  thankfully i haven't had to utilize the restore function yet, so i hope it really is there and really does work.

i'll look for your seminar on the web next year.
