    Mira A3 new dictionaries

I' m trying to decide how to optimize my new A3 Mira.  I always write realtime, and I've never paid much attention to dictionaries in the Stentura -- but I'm watching the English more in the Mira instead of the computer, so I'm wondering if I can load the EZ speaker dictionary, the realtime dictionary, what else?

Have you exported your personal dictionary to the Mira?  With the USB realtime cable, you can send the dictionaries directly from the computer to the writer.

Yes, I imported the Personal Dictionary.  I'm just trying to fine tune it more so that it looks like my realtime output with all the additional dictionaries, such as Realtime, EZ Speaker, etc.

    Judy:

Remember that your Mira is not a full-blown CAT system and because some translation features are unique to the CAT system, you won't be able to 100% mimic the translation on your computer.

With regard to EZ Speakers, if you want to have a job dictionary containing entries you've created via EZ Speakers, you would not load the EZ Speakers dictionary on the Mira because there is no "Create EZ Speakers Entries" function on the Mira.  Instead, you would create a job dictionary in CATalyst using that function and then export the job dictionary with the filled-in speaker names to the Mira.

Most realtime commands from the realtime commands dictionary would NOT translate on the Mira -- the Mira doesn't have the same software as CATalyst to be able to manage things like individual conflict resolution, number conversion, auto-includes, etc.  I *would* recommend you make sure that your definitions for {Pause Audio} and {Resume Audio} are in a dictionary that you export to your Mira A3, because those commands will function with your Mira A3's AudioSync OnTheGo.

There have been requests for certain enhancements for the Mira translation display that will be included with the next major Mira A3 software update, including prefix/suffix handling, and auto-conflict resolution.  When more info is available, I'll post it here.

thanks, Cindi.  I'll import my generic EZ speakers as a JD.  Just thought I'd get rid of the untrans for speakers.

     Judy,

Before each case while I am waiting for everyone to get settled in, I prepare a job dictionary on my Mira with proper names listed on the notice and, most importantly, the names of the attorneys in colloquy format.  This would get you closer to the EZ speaker formatting on your Mira.
