    Luggage suggestion

Okay.  So this is sort of a weird thing to post here but I'm wondering if anyone has a garment bag that they would recommend.  I do a fair amount of travel for work and have gone through several bags, trying to find the perfect one for packing up to a week's worth of business clothing (including men's suits).  I'm willing to spend some money on this if I can find a sturdy piece that will allow me to get everything in one bag.  I'm finding several options on line, but as always, it would be nice to hear from someone who has firsthand experience with a particularly good product.

    Chuck,

Sorry, no firsthand experience.  But I just saw some luggage in a Relax The Back catalogue that might be of interest.

    Chuck:

As a fairly constant Road Warrior, I have learned that tastes and opinions in luggage vary widely, and can provoke sometimes heated discussions, but throwing caution to the wind ...

My all time favorite suit/wardrobe bag also happens to be fairly cheap (around 100 bucks) and is available from Mens Wearhouse.  It ain't fancy, just your basic hanging suit bag, but it also has a packing duffle bag in the shape of a tube built in, that can handle toiletries, shoes, socks and what 1940s movie comedies so quaintly refer to as "unmentionables."

Thing that makes this bag so great is that where a closet is available, you treat it just like any other garment bag.  But if hanging space is not available on the plane (and while moving through the airport), the garment bag rolls around the tube, making for a very compact bundle that fits easily in the overhead or under the seat, if need be.  Since you are rolling rather than folding, suits and shirts stay wrinkle free.

You can access both ends of the tube part, for easy access to the items that need to be removed when you go through TSA security.

Just one man's opinion, but for what it's worth ...

Chuck, I'd second that recommendation.  It's basically a two-suiter, which might not be enough for a week away.  But if you have a pair of shoes (stuffed with socks and belts, of course), unmentionables, essential toiletries, and a couple shirts and ties in your carry-on luggage, you're covered if your checked luggage is lost or delayed.

Nice bag.  I'm even interested for myself.  Sad to say, if I could even find one specifically for women, it would probably be pink or have pretty zippers that would soon break or some such undesirable quality.  How heavy would you guys say it can get?
