    Becoming NCRA member

Good morning--or afternoon/evening, depending on where in the world you are!  I'm a bit confused about the membership and test taking. In order to take test for the RMR certification, does one simply need to be a member of NCRA?  Or are there other requirements? Also, does it matter what type of school the student has attended when sitting for the RMR test? For instance, if the student had earned a certificate from a program that is accredited by the Distance Ed Council and DANTES (military), but not necessarily by NCRA? Thank you in advance for your responses.

    RMR Requirements:

To apply for the RMR skills test you must be a member of NCRA and an RPR.

To apply for the RMR written knowledge test a member must be an RPR and have three (3) years of current and continuous membership commencing with Participating or Registered member status.

Oops! My apologies; I meant to ask about the RPR, not the RMR.

No problem!   The date may be different, because this probably applies to requirements to take the Nov. 2007 test.

    RPR Requirements:

To apply for either the RPR WKT or RPR SKT you must be a member of NCRA with dues paid in full by July 31, 2007.
