The convention was great! It was very motivating, especially Karen's speech at the Premier Session. She truly is an amazing women and as an organization, we are very lucky. I am proud to be a part of this profession and organization at this time!
I've heard a lot of good things about all the seminars and programs going on. My two roommates were in on the CART 2-1/2 day workshop (one presenting as a CART panel member, and one viewing the programs). As much as I wanted to sit in on Breck and Dorothy's presentations (and I popped in for a little bit), I went to the Rescue Dog seminar, which was amazing. This foundation is top notch, and it doesn't hurt that they have man's best friend right by their side. www.searchdogfoundation.org
On Saturday, I participated in the MVP/Train the Trainer seminar, which was an all day session (well, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) It was great to meet everyone there and to work with the different reporters from all over during our roll playing (good flashbacks to Boot Camp).
On Sunday I moderated the Officials COI Information Exchange, which was one of the seminars that ended the convention. For being the last seminar, competing with fine presenters and topics as Anita Paul Johnson, it went very well, with a good turnout. I hope those in attendance not only enjoyed it, but learned from it, which is what is most important -- as Dan Clark, our opening speaker said -- leaving a better person than when they came in.
The opening speaker, Dan, was awesome! Kept us going and put a good spin on things. And it was great to meet everyone from the boards and forums that I have not had the pleasure of meeting before (Breck, Wynne, Erica, etc.) The list could go on!
I don't have many pictures, only a few of some of the Ohio bunch with Karen, Melanie and Sue Lynn. I should've pulled my camera out more! I always think that after I get home!
Until next time, everyone! I'm already looking forward to Washington!
