So you did it.

You retired!

Woo-hoo!!!  Good for you!!!!

Yep, but I retired only as an official.  I'm freelancing now, doing criminal work, no longer domestic relations (which wasn't so domesticated), mostly parole and probation violations, mister meaners (that had been a mistranslate of mine) , as well as DUI (some call 'em DWI).  Almost got hugged to death today when I went to the town court (female judge, I loved it ) to tell 'em I'm available again to do that kinda woik.

So, how's the evil twin doing?

And w/ freelance, you get to work as much as you want - or not, as the case may be. Evil twin is just fine.  I'm sure she'd say hi if she knew we were talking about her.

My memory is faulty, I thought you were the evil twin.  In that case, how are you?  I do see your occasional postings here as a "staff member" but they don't indicate how you're doing.

I'm doing great.

We're starting a four- to six-week trial.  I'm thinking about remodeling my house (negotiating w/ the contractor now.  Hopefully we can agree on a price).

No overseas trips planned yet.

Furballs are doing great.  Both are healthy.  (about a year ago, one was touch and go, but has made a full recovery.)   Still like my job and still like the people I work with.

How's that for a quick update.
