Need help with a phrase -- Sore points or sword points???

This deposition was taken of a lawyer who was the lawyer for both parties in the sale of a business.  Here is the question that was asked of him.

    Q.  Prior to the closing, was it your impression that this was a friendly deal or kind of a deal in sword points?

SWORD POINTS???  I have never heard of any kind of phrase like this.  Has anyone?

    Thanks in advance!
