Cindi, I have used Fill-in Fields and created quite a database. I've never used Field Manager, so I guess it's back to studying the book to see what it's all about. Gives me something to do in "retirement." Ed

Angela, I don't know which software you use, but I have been on Catalyst for a long time. I had a 10-month trial and in that cae I used the K-Define, which is Case define. That way, each day that I translated I simply chose the Case dictionary and didn't have to apply defines. Ed

I have attended many workshops where Cindi has instructed, and Cindi is fabulous. Not only has she instructed but she has taken the time OUTSIDE of the room to answer questions. I have been to Chicago for their annual workshop and would highly recommend when they are scheduled, Attend, Attend, Attend. You will not be disappointed. Ed Hawkins

Sheri, I have the same concern. My notebook doesn't make a good quality recording, even after I've gone into settings and made the adjustments, so I've been wondering about either a card or if there is such a thing, a USB sound card. I'll be interested in knowing what you find out, so I'll be watching. I have the Elan writer and

Cindi, When I was discussing with the Best Buy salesman he mentioned that a lot of companies did not have the drivers ready for 64 bit. And, like buying anything with the latest, it takes time to shake out the bugs. My wife has an HP that is perfectly fine for CC, and she said if I wanted to buy Her a new computer, I can have hers. Oh, yes, she would

Sarah, I remembered reading your post on this issue when I started shopping, and thanks for making me aware, and then amazed to find how so quickly all computer manufacturers are loading 64 bit. I'd even buy a computer, plus a new Vista OS, if I could get it in 32 bit. Right now, I'm working on my Apple computer with XP. My computers have decided

I've been looking for a new computer and all I find are Vista 64 bit. It seems computers are being loaded with the 64 bit. I found one at Best Buy of a cheaper model with 32 bit. Cindi, anyone, is there any hope that SG will be able to soon making CC available to run on 64 bit? Ed

Liz, You were correct about Greg Iles. I'm reading Turning Angel and love it. Ed

Liz, Once you read Cabinets of Curiosities, you will be hooked on the whole series. I've always been tied up, like every other court reporter, with reading text on computer screen, proofreading, that I just never enjoyed reading. If a book didn't grab me in the first chapter, I wouldn't hang around. Since I've retired -- well, my wife
