  • Re: Martel Stand-alone CD Recorder, one Touch 2 Microphone Recorder Package

Hi Jillian, I don't have one but a co-worker of mine does here in circuit court. She loves it. I really don't know the exact specifics, but I did take a look at hers. It's almost the same size as a Sanyo Memo-Scriber TRC-8080. She says the microphone that come with it picks up beautifully in the courtroom and the sound quality was great

  • Re: Can anyone from Michigan help me?

Hi Eileen! Really cute daughter :) I work here in Macomb County, MI, so I might be able to help you. Here in circuit court, court reporters report all proceedings, but depending on the judge those proceedings are either civil/criminal (like myself) or domestic/juvenile or probate. The judges rotate every two years to handle either docket with the exception

  • Re: E-Defines vs J-Defines

Wow! There have been times where I've noticed I'm writing something the same way and want it in my pers dict and had to physically insert it in there. Thanks Deanna and Candis for clearing that up for me :)

  • E-Defines vs J-Defines

A fellow Official reporter friend and I are wondering if there is an advantage of one over the other. I told her I never J-Define anything. I always E-Define (things I want in my pers dict I D-Define). Once I'm done with say Vol 1 of a tript, I translate Vol 2 and then just apply the globals from Vol 1 to Vol 2. I also do the same thing if in Real

My family and I went to see Mummy III last night. It was HORRIBLE. What a waste of time that was. And to think we bought the 5th Avenue movie tickets -- 45 bucks for three people. I was so excited to see it because I just loved the other Mummy movies and Brendan Fraser. The movie was very slow in the beginning and I thought some of the acting was awful

Tori, my family and I went to see it has Sunday. It was fantastic and I'm really not a Batman fan. I've seen the others but I think Christian Bale is the BEST Batman and good looking too. Tonight when I take a break from working, we're going to go see the new Mummy movie. They really have a lot of good movies coming out this summer. I can't

  • Re: Transcript Formatting - Should I include this?

Thanks you guys for your help! And Doug, usually my judge will have a contempt hearing but I think he was just was so tired of this case -- we had two trials for the same defendant back to back. Plus, she was 77 or 78 years old!

Hi Tami, Thanks for helping out. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go to Anaheim. I had to cancel the first of June because I got hit with over 5500 pages of tran to get done by the end of August. So I've used this vacation time to get some of it done :( Thank goodness my family understood. My courtroom has been so busy. Some of the reporters
