Sarah, Check all the reporters names that you know against the names in the Sourcebook and you have got your answer. It is shocking who is not in that Sourcebook membership directory.

While everyone was out enjoying themselves in Anaheim, a number of Texans were here at home trying to write letters concerning changes in our certification board rules that we did not think would be good for Texas. To follow that up, the officials had a seminar in Houston and Glenda Fuller, Robin Cooksey and Linda Kaiser were three of the that came

Bill, in Texas it is a statute so excerpting without letting the other side know is definitely a no, no in this state. Before that happened, we were always in the middle. I personally am very happy that they have definite rule to live by here now.

Thanks, Candis. Actually, I had heard that many times before but also looked it up to be positive how it was spelled. I guess it wouldn't have to be too clean just to be cleaner than a hound's tooth though..

Have you looked in the back of your Sourcebook and seen how many are retired? There is a wealth of unused talent there. Some still own firms even though they are not reporting and they could have their firms do this if they did not wish to. I really don't know all the things NCRA needs done. I was just worried about the loss of members in the associaiton and thinking this might just a way to get them in. That is all I was getting at. Obviously, lack of money is one of the problems and I was just trying to think of a way to help solve the

I never encourage reporters or anyone to use those cards unless absolutely necessary or unless they can pay them out in 30 days. All financial advisers always recommend against doing that and tell you the first thing you should do is pay those off. That's

Lillian, I just wanted to say hello to my rich friend. $250 is a lot to young reporters with childcare, etc. It is also a lot to older reporters on limited income. Now I'm not worried about my dues because I know my buddy Lillian will come across and loan me the money -- no interest of course. LOL

I just know we need some new thoughts to bring reporters to the fold. Economics is definitely a problem, especially with gas prices. Sometimes an old idea can have a few new twists and will work. I know there could be problems of how you would drop them from the roll if they didn't pay among other things. Well, Karen, you've been hired for this
