Continuing Education

To thrive in a competitive industry, you need polished skills, updates on the latest technology, and a firm understanding of what's going on in the court reporting profession.

Plus, you need a consistent system to verify the competence of court reporters around you--both for assuring the stability of the court reporting profession and to check the credentials of reporters when you need to refer a client.

NCRA's Continuing Education Program is nationally recognized and accredited by the American Council on Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). When people see an NCRA certification by your name, they know you are a professional.

Educational Opportunities for the Busiest Schedule and Tightest Budget

Maintaining your certification is easier than ever because there are more learning opportunities that qualify for continuing education credits than ever before.

Whether you like having the opportunity to meet fellow reporters at more than 300 workshops and seminars nationwide, or you prefer to get practical skills at self-help or university courses, or you like earning CEUs through NCRA's Home Study Program, the versatility of your Continuing Education Program is just about unlimited.

Select a book from NCRA's approved reading list, then earn CEUs for passing a short answer test on the book. You'll find home study articles in several issues of the Journal of Court Reporting for which you can earn CE credits. All CE materials are also available from the Member Service Information Center at 800-272-NCRA (6272).

New! In addition to the CEU tests available from the JCR, we have other selected articles now available online.

We're always available to answer questions about your CEUs. Check the Calendar for educational opportunities coming to your area. Or call 800-272-NCRA (6272) to find out what is available in the coming weeks or months or how many CE credits you need to renew your RPR, RMR, CMRS, CRI, and/or RDR certification.
