The California Official Court Reporters Association (COCRA) and the Deposition Reporters Association of California (DRA) have been approved by the Board of Directors as affiliated units of NCRA. The two join the California Court Reporters Association as affiliated units for the state of California.
The membership approved a constitution and bylaws amendment in 2008 allowing for recognition of more than one affiliated unit from a state if the number of members in the state exceeds 10 percent of the total NCRA membership. The NCRA Board established criteria for recognition, following which COCRA and DRA applied to become affiliated units.
CCRA, COCRA, and DRA all are eligible to send representatives to the annual meeting of the National Committee of State Associations held in conjunction with the NCRA annual convention in August.
